“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.  My purpose is to give life and all its fullness”

John 10:10

OUR MISSION IS RESTORING HOPE AND TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF PEOPLE IN RECOVERY THROUGH THE LOVE OF JESUS EXPRESSED IN THE COMMUNITY OF THE CHURCH.

OUR VISION  IS THAT LIFEBRIDGE WILL BE KNOWN AS A SOURCE OF ONGOING TRAINING AND SUPPORT TO A GROWING NETWORK OF CHURCHES, ORGANIZATIONS AND VOLUNTEERS AS THEY SEEK TO ENGAGE IN THE LIVES OF MEN AND WOMEN IN RECOVERY.

Who we are –

LifeBridge is a ministry in Abbotsford BC, that seeks to bridge the gap between the church and those recovering from addiction by providing customized programs for recovering addicts and helping churches become safe and welcoming communities for men and women in recovery.

What we believe –

We believe that the only way to sobriety is through the love of Jesus Christ. Education and training are most important in order to sort through the past life experiences that led to addiction.

WE HELP PEOPLE FIND HOPE –

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FIND THE HOPE?

To find the hope is to make a life-changing discovery – it is to connect deeply and personally with the very reason you are here on planet Earth.

From the instant you began to take shape in your mother’s womb, and extraordinary process has been happening in you.  It is the amazing process of physical life.  But physical life has its limits, and eventually it ends.  No exceptions.  No exemptions.  That is why it is crucial for you to find the hope.

Hope begins with a birth of another kind – a spiritual birth that marks the beginning of a new kind of life.  It, too, is an amazing process.  But best of all, it has no end.  It is the promise of eternal life – a life that is fulfilling and meaningful now and will continue on even after physical death occurs.

We look inside ourselves and see so much that we wish wasn’t there.  The scars of past hurts and injustices, paralyzing fears, anger that won’t go away, unrealized dreams and expectations, depressing loneliness, an unfulfilled desire for peace and contentment, and an embarrassing assortment of sins, failures, pride and broken promises.

BUT … the good news that we share each week is that there is hope and peace.

To find the hope is to make three remarkable discoveries:  the way that leads to God; the truth that never changes, and the life that never ends.  All are found in a person – the God/Man, Jesus Christ.

Perhaps this encouraging message leads 17 ladies to Bible Study and Alpha at Peardonville each week – perhaps the love of Jesus leads 5 ladies at Solace House to Bible Study and church each week.  Perhaps the miracle of leading lives to Christ brings so many volunteers to join our work in Abbotsford.
